    At Wyoming Endocrine and Diabetes Clinic, Dr. Babak Pazooki and his professional team of providers offer comprehensive evaluation and management of various endocrine (hormonal) conditions.

    As the medical director of Wyoming Medical Center’s Diabetes Care Center, Dr. Pazooki works closely with a group of talented and dedicated certified diabetes educators in bringing the latest advances in diabetes management to their patients.

    WEDC also specializes in the management of all thyroid conditions, including both benign and malignant.

    Dr. Pazooki has strong interest in metabolic bone disorders such as osteoporosis, and Wyoming Endocrine and Diabetes Clinic offers the latest in this field. He also specializes in other related conditions such as calcium and parathyroid disorders.

    We all know that the generic prescription of “diet and exercise” is often unsuccessful in weight control. That is why the clinic has put together a comprehensive and multidisciplinary program for weight management. This clinic will be launched in the near future and it utilizes the up-to-date science behind all aspects of internal metabolism of food and energy, including medications, behavioral modifications, individualized diet and exercise plans, as well as surgical treatment for those who wish to lose weight.

    Diabetes Care Center
    As the Diabetes Care Center’s Medical Director, Dr. Pazooki and the staff at the Diabetes Care Center(DCC) provide Diabetes self Management Training(DSMT) and Education to individuals and groups of all ages. Clientele are guided through learning survival skills, basic care and intensive diabetes self management techniques. Those receiving services at the DCC receive guidance in the following areas:

  • How to understand diabetes mellitus: its types, causes and effects, and the goals of treatment
  • Management skills for all types of diabetes and related issues
  • Planning and creating lifestyle changes: healthy eating habits, meal planning, physical activity, monitoring health status, taking medications, problem solving, healthy coping, risk reduction, weight management and prevention of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
  • Self monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG)
  • Medications and diabetes care
  • Carbohydrate Counting
  • Intensified insulin treatment
  • Insulin pump therapy, initiation & titration
  • Avoidance of complications related to diabetes

    • The Care Center maintains recognition with the American Diabetes Association as a diabetes education entity.
